Help us raise awareness by participating in our

“Hidden Under Our Hats” display.

One of our projects is to have all brain tumor patients represented in our state “Hidden Under Our Hats” display that involves donated hats then decorated by the “Warrior” or family of an “Angel” stating their brain tumor type, diagnosis date, status and personal  attributes.

This display will travel the state and then join the national display that travels the nation including

Washington, DC during

Brain Tumor Action Week, May 4-10, 2008

The national display is managed by the

Brain Tumor Action Network out of Florida.(www.btan.org

Please spread the word about this project and assist us in reaching those in our communities that have been affected by brain tumors. If you or someone you know would like to volunteer or participate by donating or decorating hats to this awareness campaign, please contact:

Text Box: This Fall we will begin traveling the state in an outreach effort to distribute materials to cancer education centers, cancer support agencies and medical facilities. Please send us any leads you may have for your particular community in South Carolina so that we may contact them! We are excited to compile this resource by utilizing the LIVESTRONG Survivorship Notebook and adding materials to it that relate specifically to brain tumor patients and the information that they may need.
If you are from another state or region, email us your information and we will provide them our resources so they may obtain materials to support their brain tumor population and network with us to provide online support as well.
We will be announcing these events on our calendar...check often or subscribe to our newsletter here.

An on-going project, the Houstons are gathering hats submitted by brain tumor families on behalf of their

“Angels” or “Warriors” to become a state display that will travel the state in an effort to raise awareness in South Carolina before joining the national traveling display.

We welcome your participation in this important campaign!
