Support The Stamp
The Brain Tumor Awareness Organization and The Silver Ribbon Coalition have joined together their efforts to obtain a semi-postal stamp to benefit brain research across programs at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), The National Cancer Institute (NCI) and The Department of Defense (DOD). Dr. Kington, the Director of NIH, has identified that the funding could benefit many programs at NIH.

Pediatric (PBTC) and Adult Brain Tumor Consortia (ABTC) at the National Cancer Institute (NCI) About The Brain Tumor Awareness Organization
The Brain Tumor Awareness Organization (BTAO) is a non-profit organization that seeks to reduce the impact upon patients and their families by providing a community of resource, education, support, awareness and advocacy. The BTAO is engaged in building a national directory of resources and affiliates to spread awareness and outreach efforts. About The Silver Ribbon Coalition The Silver Ribbon Coalition began seeking the “Silver Ribbon Brain Disorders and Disabilities Awareness First Class Postage Stamp” in 1999 and was nominated for consideration by the Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee (CSAC) .
Due to their previous effort, the BTAO has found that the CSAC would consider with Congress’ support– a semi-postal stamp for Brain Research Programs at the NIH, DOD and NCI Brain Tumor Program. The Breast Cancer Research Stamp was passed by Congress in 1999 and has raised over $52 million in 9 years for research.
If all those affected by a neurological disease, disorder or injury purchased these stamps, we could fund brain research and benefit programs at the NIH, DOD and NCI. Providing our website and contact information to those in your community and let’s increase funding for brain research programs!
I am lending my signature to support a semi-postal stamp to raise funds for brain research. Those affected by brain tumors stand to gain significant improvement in their treatments through the advances of research and a future cure.
